The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on January 14, 2022 has issued Notice regarding De-Activation of IECs not updated at DGFT.
The following was stated namely: –
• All IECs which have not been updated after July 1, 2020 shall be de-activated with effect from February 1, 2022.
• The concerned IEC holders are provided an opportunity to update their IEC in the interim period till January 31, 2022
• IEC re-activation after January 31, 2022 need to be done through the DGFT website. The IEC should be updated online.
